Pipeline Engineer - DevSecOps

Pipeline Engineer (DevSecOps) Location: Remote FTE Clearance Required: Active Secret Security Clearance Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Pipeline Engineer – Journeyman to support a Platform Engineering team responsible for operating and enhancing Kubernetes infrastructure and developer tooling supporting more than 200 applications. In this role, you will help maintain and improve CI/CD pipeline infrastructure, support secure application deployments, and enhance the reliability, scalability, and security of cloud-based platforms. You will work with technologies such as GitLab CI/CD, Kubernetes, Nexus, Rancher/RKE2, SonarQube, and StackRox. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with pipeline automation, container orchestration, cloud infrastructure, and DevSecOps practices. You should be comfortable troubleshooting production issues, supporting incident and change management processes, and collaborating with platform, infrastructure, security, and application teams. Qualifications: Active Secret security clearance. Active Security+ certification (may be taken before onboarding). Demonstrated experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and pipeline automation. Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and DevSecOps practices. Experience supporting production platforms, including incident troubleshooting and operational change management. Familiarity with ELK Stack or comparable monitoring and observability tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Scripting and automation skills. Experience with GitLab Runners, Nexus, cloud-managed services, Rancher/RKE2, and AI-assisted development tools. Familiarity with ServiceNow and Jira. Experience with tools such as SonarQube, Fortify, TestRail, Argo CD, or Renovate. Cloud certification in AWS, Azure, or OCI.
