Remote Position

Podcast Video Editor and Manager

🌍 Remote Β· United States πŸ’Ό Full-time

We're a small business looking to launch a podcast and are searching for someone who can help us get it off the ground and manage production on an ongoing basis. The idea is to create a conversational, interview-style show featuring industry professionals, business owners, and other interesting guests. Our main goals are to build credibility in our industry, connect with potential clients, and create content we can share through our website and social media. We're still in the early planning stages and would appreciate working with someone who has experience launching podcasts and can help us figure out the best approach for audio and video. We're looking for someone who can take care of the technical side of producing the podcast so we can focus on the conversations and guests. Some of the things we'd potentially need help with include: Helping us get the podcast set up and ready to launch Making sure our recordings sound professional Editing episodes and getting them ready to publish Helping us get episodes onto Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and other platforms Creating descriptions for each episode Possibly creating short video clips we can share on LinkedIn and social media (maybe managing that for us). Providing guidance on how to make the podcast successful over time/grow. We're not entirely sure which services we'll need or what makes the most sense to outsource, so we're open to recommendations based on your experience. We're thinking of starting with a six-episode season to see how things go, with the possibility of continuing afterward. Episodes would likely be around 20–40 minutes long, with one host and one guest. Most conversations would be recorded remotely. We're considering releasing two episodes per month, although we're open to suggestions. We'd like to keep the process relatively simple and avoid having to manage too many moving parts ourselves. Ideally, we'd like to work with someone who has produced podcasts before, is organized, communicates well, and can help us understand what we need to do without making the process overly complicated. Experience working with businesses or professional service companies would be a plus. We're open to working with an individual freelancer or a small production team. When applying, please share a little about your experience, links to a few podcasts you've worked on, and how you typically work with clients like us. It would also be helpful to know what you would recommend for a podcast like this, what services you typically handle, what we should expect to budget for getting started and producing episodes regularly, and how long it typically takes to launch a podcast. We're looking for someone who can be a reliable long-term partner if the initial project goes well. Thanks, and we look forward to hearing from you! Apply To This Job
