Practice Advancement Specialist

Overview

The North Carolina Association of Pharmacists (NCAP) is seeking an experienced, highly motivated pharmacy technician for a full-time, remote position as a Practice Advancement Specialist. NCAP will be embarking on a multiple year series of statewide grant-funded projects centered around opioid stewardship and building treatment capacity for individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD) in communities across NC. This position is ideal for a pharmacy technician who is interested in a non-traditional technician role, is highly self-motivated, and has an interest in improving the lives of individuals with OUD through community pharmacy-based initiatives.

Responsibilities

Assist with recruitment efforts and enrollment of independent community pharmacies in opioid stewardship initiatives Communicating with participating pharmacies and providing ongoing project support Tracking and managing data Assist with scheduling remote meetings and trainings for grant participants Assist with grant reporting, documentation, and invoice preparation Position is remote but occasional travel may be required for in-person meetings; travel would not require overnight stay

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma required, associate’s degree preferred Pharmacy work experience required Experience working as a pharmacy technician in a community setting preferred An absence of stigma around substance use disorders and an understanding of the importance of providing accessible treatment for individuals with substance use disorder Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to engage professionally and effectively with community pharmacists and other stakeholders Proficient with Microsoft Office and Teams Strong active listening skills, ability to follow instructions and incorporate feedback Experience with grant projects is not required Pay: $24.04 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Benefits 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: Remote
