Pre-Authorization Specialist

Summary: Royal Health Inc is seeking a Pre-Authorization Specialist who will be responsible for managing pre-authorization processes with insurance companies. This role involves ensuring all necessary authorizations are obtained and communicating effectively with clients and healthcare providers. Responsibilities: - Contacting insurance companies and third-party administrators to determine pre-authorization and medical necessity requirements for both basic and high-tech outpatient radiology exams and procedures - Ensures all required authorizations are obtained prior to scheduled services - Serves as a liaison between clients, physicians, and physician office staff to obtain any additional clinical documentation needed to support authorization requests Required Qualifications: - Customer service experience required - Previous authorization experience required - Radiology authorization experience required - Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-10 coding - Knowledge of insurance benefits and eligibility verification - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities - Dedicated home office space with the ability to securely store company equipment and protect PHI Preferred Qualifications: - Reliable high-speed internet connection (fiber or cable preferred) Required Skills: Radiology authorizations, Pre-authorization process, Insurance eligibility verification, Medical terminology, ICD-10 coding, Insurance benefits knowledge Benefits: Competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance, Generous PTO and 9 paid holidays, 401(k) with company match, Telemedicine healthcare visits, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Health Savings Accounts (HSA), and Dependent Care Accounts (DCA), Life and disability insurance options, Remote work opportunity, Remote (Work from Home)
