Production Coordinator, Direct Response
The Production Coordinator, Direct Response writes the emails, text messages, and digital ads that ask donors to give to our nonprofit clients. Many of those clients are libertarian and conservative advocacy organizations, and you will write persuasive copy in support of their missions. You report to the Production Manager, who assigns your work. The Production Manager and the VP of Content Production edit your drafts. You start with a structured onboarding on our clients, their voices, and our tools. Writing is the core of the job. As you grow in the role, you will also take on proofing, building, and deploying campaigns. This is an entry-level role with no minimum years of experience. What You'll Do
Write fundraising emails, text messages, and social media ads matched to each client's mission, audience, and voice. Draft subject lines, ad variations, and alternate versions for A/B tests. Research issues and client programs so every claim in your copy is accurate and current, and follows the rules that apply to fundraising and political communications. Revise drafts based on edits from the Production Manager and VP of Content Production. Review campaign results with the production team and use what performed well to shape your next drafts. Write internal documents and marketing materials for Optimize Consulting. Track assignments and deadlines in Asana. What Success Looks Like At 90 days, your first drafts need only routine edits, and you write comfortably in each assigned client's voice. At one year, your drafts go out with light review, you suggest tests based on past results, and you have started proofing, building, and deploying campaigns. What You Bring Strong writing, shown in samples. Class assignments, personal projects, and published work all count. Persuasive instinct: you write to move a reader to act, in short, clear sentences. Accuracy: you check facts, names, links, and numbers before handing work off. Openness to edits: you take feedback and apply it the first time. Comfort writing for libertarian and conservative advocacy organizations. Ownership of your own week: you plan your work, meet deadlines, and ask questions early. Helpful to Have Experience writing fundraising, political, or direct response copy A nonprofit job, internship, or fellowship Familiarity with HubSpot or another email platform Experience with Asana or a similar task management platform, or familiarity with Getting Things Done
