QA Engineer

🌍 Remote · United States 💼 Full-time

About The Company INSPYR Solutions is a national provider of technology and talent solutions. The company aligns industry knowledge and technical expertise with clients’ business objectives and workplace cultures, delivering tailored professional services, project support, and talent solutions. INSPYR Solutions focuses on quality, collaboration, and the human side of business, connecting organizations and professionals with opportunities that meet their needs. About The Role INSPYR Solutions is seeking a QA Engineer III with strong hands-on Playwright automation experience for a contract-to-permanent opportunity. This remote role supports quality engineering for e-commerce cart and checkout functionality, including customer-facing purchase journeys. Candidates must live within driving distance of Miramar, Florida; Dallas, Texas; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Seattle, Washington; or Atlanta, Georgia. The position is expected to involve approximately 80% automation and 20% functional testing, with the potential for an even greater focus on automation. The team currently uses Tosca and is transitioning its automation framework to Playwright. The successful candidate will contribute to that transition by creating and maintaining automated coverage, rather than only running existing scripts. Experience using AI tools to support QA or automation work is also important.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include 6–8 years of QA or test engineering experience and strong, practical experience developing and working with Playwright. Candidates should have experience testing e-commerce applications, particularly cart and checkout processes, and be comfortable designing, maintaining, and improving automated test frameworks. A background in functional testing, test planning, and quality assurance methodologies is expected. Applicants should be familiar with Agile software delivery and test management tools such as JIRA or Zephyr. They should be able to document test cases and defects clearly, communicate findings to technical and business partners, and collaborate effectively with developers, product owners, and other QA professionals. Experience applying AI tools to testing or automation workflows is valued. Tosca experience is a plus, but it is not required; strong Playwright skills are the priority. Familiarity with automation framework migrations is beneficial. Exposure to business intelligence (BI), supply chain management (SCM), or UiPath environments is also helpful. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders), or otherwise authorized to work in the United States. The position is remote, subject to the geographic proximity requirement listed above.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain reliable Playwright automated test suites for e-commerce customer journeys. Support the transition from Tosca to Playwright by helping assess existing test assets and creating effective automated coverage within the new framework. Test cart, checkout, payment, and related purchasing workflows, combining automated checks with functional testing as appropriate. Develop and maintain test cases, record execution results, and manage defects using JIRA and/or Zephyr. Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution, providing clear information that helps the team reproduce and address issues. Partner with developers, product owners, and QA colleagues to define test strategy, assess risk, and establish suitable coverage. Look for opportunities to improve automation quality and efficiency, including the practical use of AI tools in QA activities.

Benefits

This is a contract-to-permanent opportunity with a stated rate of $55–$58 per hour. The role offers remote work for candidates who meet the location requirements and the opportunity to contribute to an active automation framework transition. Specific benefits and permanent-employment terms have not been provided and can be discussed during the hiring process. Equal Opportunity INSPYR Solutions is committed to fair and equitable employment practices. Qualified applicants will be considered without discrimination on any basis protected by applicable law. Hiring decisions are based on relevant qualifications, skills, experience, and business needs.
