[Remote] 178427: OSP Network Design Engineer II – Fiber/FTTH

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. PTR Global is recruiting for an unnamed client seeking a Network Implementation Engineer II to support outside-plant network design, financial processes, and regulatory coordination. The role manages engineering requests across an assigned geographic area and coordinates with internal teams, vendors, and municipalities to support project execution.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update Engineering Work Orders for new builds, upgrades, and fiber deployments (FTTN, FTTH, FTTT, etc.)
• Review design prints and redlines; apply corrections to ensure accuracy and construction readiness
• Develop OSP designs in 3GIS and utilize tools such as AutoCAD/CAD systems, Ivalua, Netsuite, Sitetracker, and Microsoft Office
• Process invoices, validate financial documentation, and resolve discrepancies
• Coordinate with vendors, developers, builders, and municipalities on project requirements and timelines
• Engage with city departments to secure permits and ensure regulatory compliance

Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant experience
• 3 to 5 years of telecommunications, engineering, or network planning experience
• Strong proficiency with engineering systems and Microsoft Office
• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with internal and external partners
• Technical design proficiency (3GIS, OSP engineering tools, redline review)
• Strong communication and collaboration with vendors, city officials, and internal teams
• Detail-oriented and organized with strong multitasking abilities
