[Remote] Account Manager

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Pesty Marketing is hiring an Account Manager to retain high-value pest control clients by solving their marketing problems and owning client relationships. The role leads strategic account direction, coordinates delivery across marketing disciplines, detects churn risk, and presents data-backed recommendations to clients.

Responsibilities

• Keep high-value pest control clients for the long term by solving their marketing problems with a strategy consultant's rigor and owning the relationship
• A portfolio of high-retainer clients ($70K+ in monthly recurring revenue) as their single strategic owner
• A dedicated pod (SEO, PPC, UX, content), where you set direction without micromanaging and make sure the work shipped matches what was sold
• Early churn detection, expectation resets, and saying “no” when it protects results
• Executive Business Reviews where you present a clear strategic recommendation backed by data

Skills

• 3–5 years in account management or client services
• A track record of retaining high-value clients and managing a $500K+ book of business
• Deep working knowledge of local SEO, since you'll be the SEO voice in client meetings
• Working knowledge of PPC/LSA and content, plus enough CRO awareness to spot a website costing leads
• You've learned marketing by reading, studying marketers you admire, and ideally spending real money on it
• Ideally in an agency or fast-growth company
• Experience with home services businesses or performance marketing agencies
• Experience in pod-based or autonomous team structures
