Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. JG Partners, a full-service marketing firm, is hiring an Accountant to own core accounting operations. The role manages the general ledger and close process, prepares financial statements, and supports budgeting, audits, and accounting process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries
- Lead month end and year end close, including account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Perform variance analysis and explain budget versus actual results
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Manage fixed asset schedules and depreciation
- Support annual audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and controls
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an accounting role
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Hands-on experience with month end close and financial statement preparation
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or a comparable accounting system
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment
- Authorization to work in the United States
- CPA license or active CPA candidacy is a plus
