[Remote] Accounting Manager

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Elite Clinical Network is seeking an Accounting Manager to support its accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance across its multi-entity clinical research network. The role manages close activities and key accounting functions, supports audits and process improvements, and mentors accounting team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and management reporting packages
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and communicate findings to finance leadership
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies
• Oversee general ledger activities and maintain accurate financial records
• Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items
• Monitor accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, leases, intercompany transactions, and debt-related accounting
• Assist in the design, implementation, and monitoring of internal controls over financial reporting
• Maintain accounting policies and procedures documentation
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements
• Support annual financial statement audits, tax filings, and other regulatory examinations
• Assist with cash flow forecasting and working capital management
• Review payroll accounting and related reconciliations
• Monitor banking activity and support treasury-related initiatives
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency
• Participate in system implementations, integrations, and automation initiatives
• Partner with Finance, Operations, HR, and other departments to streamline workflows and improve financial visibility

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems and financial consolidations
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
