[Remote] AI & Process Automation Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Subzero Engineering is seeking an AI & Process Automation Engineer to analyze and improve business processes using artificial intelligence, automation, data analytics, and digital transformation. The role partners with stakeholders across departments to develop solutions that improve efficiency, visibility, and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current business processes, workflows, and operational procedures across multiple departments
• Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and digital transformation
• Document current-state and future-state business processes, workflows, and system requirements
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, interviews, and workshops to gather business requirements
• Evaluate repetitive, time-consuming, and manual processes suitable for automation
• Design and implement AI-powered solutions utilizing Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, Power Automate, Power BI, and related technologies
• Develop process maps, business requirements, user stories, workflow documentation, and implementation plans
• Create dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that improve business visibility and decision-making
• Monitor and measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions through key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Support testing, validation, and deployment of automation and AI initiatives
• Ensure solutions align with company policies, data security requirements, governance standards, and responsible AI practices
• Train end users and business stakeholders on newly implemented solutions and best practices
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve operational performance through technology and process optimization

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in business analysis, process improvement, digital transformation, or operational excellence initiatives
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, Power Automate, Power BI, or similar business technology solutions
• Strong understanding of workflow automation, business process redesign, and change management principles
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to gather, document, and translate business requirements into actionable solutions
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Experience implementing AI-enabled business solutions
• Experience with SQL, data visualization, business intelligence tools, or reporting platforms
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence methodologies
• Familiarity with enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, HRIS, or other business applications
• Understanding of responsible AI governance, security, compliance, and data privacy principles
