Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. RED Global is recruiting an AI/ML Technical Lead for a direct client’s defense procurement and payment platform program. The role will lead AI/ML development and implementation, establish an AI/ML roadmap and model governance, and coordinate with engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, and data teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead development and implementation of AI/ML capabilities to improve procurement analytics, automate workflows, and introduce intelligent decision-support capabilities into PIEE
- Develop an AI/ML roadmap aligned with DLA modernization objectives
- Identify opportunities for predictive analytics, demand forecasting, and supplier-risk analysis
- Design and oversee AI/ML models and NLP-based document-processing solutions
- Evaluate secure AI-assisted software development capabilities
- Establish model governance covering bias, explainability, confidence scoring, and performance
- Develop quantitative ROI business cases for proposed AI/ML initiatives
- Coordinate with application engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, and data teams
Skills
- 8+ years in data science, machine learning, or applied AI engineering
- Experience leading production AI/ML initiatives
- Strong Python, machine learning, NLP, data engineering, and model deployment skills
- Experience in integrating AI/ML services into enterprise applications
- Knowledge of responsible AI, explainability, model governance, and secure cloud deployment
- Active Secret Clearance
- AWS machine learning or equivalent certification preferred
- Experience with AWS ML services (such as SageMaker or Bedrock) in GovCloud
- Familiarity with DoD Responsible AI guidance
- Background in procurement, supply chain, or finance data
