[Remote] Application Security Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ASRC Federal is a government contractor supporting missions in space, public health, and defense. The Application Security Analyst will support a DHS program by defining and implementing information assurance and security standards, coordinating security programs, and integrating security controls across applications and environments. The role also involves identifying security violations and developing security solutions, requirements, doctrine, and policies.

Responsibilities

• Determine enterprise information assurance and security standards
• Develop and implement information assurance/security standards and procedures
• Coordinate, develop, and evaluate security programs for an organization
• Recommends information assurance/security solutions to support customers’ requirements
• Identify, report, and resolve security violations
• Establish and satisfy information assurance and security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands
• Support customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of doctrine and policies
• Apply know-how to government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in application information security support
• US Citizen
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities; able to turn ambiguous requirements into actionable plans
• Prior Public Trust or Security Clearance
