[Remote] A/R Accountant

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. True Sea Moss is seeking an A/R Accountant to manage accounts receivable across its retail and direct-to-consumer channels. The role oversees invoicing, cash application, collections, channel payout reconciliations, retailer deductions and disputes, and trade spend accruals.

Responsibilities

• Manage invoicing and cash application across retail and direct-to-consumer channels
• Own collections and the A/R aging, following up on past-due balances with retail customers
• Reconcile channel payouts from e-commerce and marketplace platforms using A2X and Link My Books
• Match retailer billbacks to promotional agreements, and prepare trade spend accruals for month-end close
• Validate retailer and distributor deductions and manage the dispute process
• Prepare weekly deductions reporting for the Controller and leadership

Skills

• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in accounts receivable
• Working knowledge of US GAAP, including revenue recognition and trade promotion accounting
• Background in CPG or high-growth e-commerce (required)
• A/R experience with US retailers and distributors such as Target, Walmart, KeHE, UNFI, and Costco (required)
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
• Comfortable managing competing priorities and deadlines in a fully remote team
• Exposure to DTC order-to-cash reconciliations and platforms (highly preferred)
• Experience with retailer EDI platforms and deduction validation and disputes (highly preferred)
• Expertise in NetSuite or equivalent ERP (strongly preferred)
