Job Overview Join our remote interpreting team as a full-time American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter. You’ll facilitate clear, accurate communication between Deaf and hearing participants across virtual settings. This role requires current National Interpreter Certification (NIC); only NIC-certified applicants will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate ASL interpretation in remote appointments, meetings, and other interactions.
- Apply professional ethics, cultural competency, and sound judgment while protecting confidentiality.
- Support over-the-phone interpretation and medical interpretation assignments as needed.
- Your impact: Your interpretation helps Deaf and hearing participants understand one another and take part in conversations with confidence.
Requirements
- Current National Interpreter Certification (NIC) is required.
- Strong American Sign Language and English proficiency, with excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated interpretation ability; experience with remote and over-the-phone interpretation is valuable.
- Knowledge of professional ethics and cultural competency in interpreting practice.
Pay: $49.00 - $52.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 per week Benefits:
