[Remote] Assistant Faculty (Part-Time), Accounting

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Strayer University provides online higher education and is seeking a part-time Assistant Faculty member to support an undergraduate Accounting course. The role supports the lead instructor through student communication, grading, tutoring, engagement monitoring, outreach, and development of supplemental learning materials.

Responsibilities

• Analyze student activity within discussions and assessments and respond appropriately based upon training and input from the lead instructor
• Assist in managing student communications
• Escalate unique issues to the lead instructor
• Assist with grading and providing feedback
• Monitor students’ engagement levels and provide recommendations on the best approach on how to increase engagement
• Assist the lead instructor as needed or directed, providing tutoring, live sessions, or other student support
• Assist the lead instructor as needed or directed with student outreach
• Assist the lead instructor as needed in developing supplemental support documents, videos, job aids
• Other duties as assigned

• Previous teaching experience required
• Master's degree in Accounting from a regionally accredited institution required OR
• Master's degree in Business Administration with an Accounting concentration or with coursework in Intermediate I and II from a regionally accredited institution required
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
• 5 years of professional experience in accounting preferred
• Online teaching experience preferred
• CPA license preferred (active or inactive)
