Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Echofi is a seed-stage company building its platform and core infrastructure. As the first backend engineer, the role will lead the design, testing, deployment, and maintenance of backend services while addressing complex architectural and technical challenges involving security, scalability, and fault tolerance.
Responsibilities

- Provide detailed documentation on services to other developers

Skills
- Have 3+ years experience in full-stack application development (ASP, Node, Django, Rails)
- Excited to learn new languages and frameworks
- Experience with systems programming
- Familiar with best practices regarding testing, security, and reliability
- Familiar with cloud architecture, can design production-grade infrastructure
- Familiar managing complex codebases, especially projects using git and a trunk-based development model
- Deep understanding of SQL, including data models, queries, and ORMs
- Previously worked with trading, banking, or payment processing APIs
