Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Mindrift is hiring a CAD Engineer to train and evaluate AI agents working in a CAD environment on complex engineering tasks. The role involves designing part geometry, creating reference solutions, evaluating agent attempts, and collaborating with CFD engineers who simulate the geometry.
Responsibilities
- Help train and evaluate AI agents that work inside a real CAD environment on long engineering tasks, work that would take an expert 10–15 hours
- You'll design part geometry, build reference solutions, and judge the agent's attempts
- You'll work alongside CFD engineers who simulate the geometry you build
Skills
- A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of professional, hands-on CAD modelling (CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Creo or similar)
- Comfortable with Python and GitHub
- English at B2 level or above
- A Master's or PhD
- Experience preparing geometry for simulation (ANSYS or similar)
- An active professional CAD licence of your own (required)
