[Remote] Senior Batch Developer with Healthcare or PBM/Pharmacy exp

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Infinite Computer Solutions is hiring a Senior Batch Developer to serve as Technical Lead for the NCPDP F6 initiative. The role leads the design, development, implementation, and support of pharmacy claims processing solutions, while guiding technical direction and collaborating with business and technical stakeholders. It also includes mentoring team members and delivering regulatory and business-driven initiatives.

Responsibilities

• The Senior Batch Developer will serve as a Technical Lead for the NCPDP F6 initiative, providing leadership for the design, development, implementation, and support of pharmacy claims processing solutions. This role is responsible for guiding the technical direction of NCPDP F6 development efforts while collaborating with business stakeholders, architects, EDI teams, and project leadership to deliver compliant, scalable, and high-quality solutions
• The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in healthcare claims processing, pharmacy systems, Medicaid programs, and healthcare EDI transactions. In addition to strong batch development skills within Linux and Unix environments, this individual will provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and drive successful delivery of regulatory and business-driven initiatives

Skills

• 5+ years of application development and batch programming experience using C, Unix, and Linux
• 5+ years of experience serving as a technical lead or leading development teams
• Strong SQL skills for database querying, troubleshooting, and data analysis using SQL Server and/or Oracle
• Experience with system integration, XML, healthcare EDI transactions, and automation scripting
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall
• Demonstrated experience with healthcare claims processing and adjudication systems
• Experience supporting pharmacy claims processing solutions and NCPDP transaction standards
• Knowledge of Medicaid programs, healthcare regulations, and compliance-driven initiatives
• Experience with release planning, production implementations, and issue resolution
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to guide technical teams through complex initiatives
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language
• Strong understanding of healthcare claims workflows, provider interactions, and payer operations
• Experience performing root cause analysis and leading issue resolution efforts
• Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills
• Experience working with Azure and/or AWS cloud technologies
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business, operations, EDI, architecture, testing, and project management teams
• Direct experience with NCPDP standards, including D.0 and F6 knowledge
• Experience serving as a Technical Lead on healthcare claims modernization, regulatory, or compliance-driven initiatives
• Strong understanding of pharmacy claims adjudication, pricing and claim lifecycle processing
• Experience with healthcare EDI transactions, including NCPDP and related healthcare transaction standards
• Experience with Medicaid pharmacy programs, PBM functions, and enterprise healthcare claims platforms
• Experience supporting large-scale Medicaid or government healthcare systems
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modernization initiatives
