[Remote] Chief Financial Officer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cohesion is hiring a Chief Financial Officer to oversee its financial operations and strategy. The role leads financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, compliance, investor and bank relationships, and the development of scalable financial controls, systems, and processes. It also partners with company leadership on strategic decisions, growth opportunities, cash flow, and capital allocation.

Responsibilities

• The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing all financial operations and strategy for Cohesion
• Day-to-day responsibilities include leading financial planning and analysis, managing budgeting and forecasting processes, and maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting
• The CFO will oversee preparation and review of financial statements, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and manage relationships with investors, banks, and external auditors
• This role will partner closely with the leadership team to support strategic decision-making, evaluate growth opportunities, and optimize cash flow and capital allocation
• The CFO will also design and improve internal controls, financial systems, and processes suitable for a fast-growing startup environment

Skills

• Strong background in Finance with demonstrated experience in senior or executive financial leadership roles
• Proficiency in Financial Planning and budgeting, including forecasting, modeling, and scenario analysis
• Experience preparing, analyzing, and interpreting Financial Statements and Financial Reporting for internal and external stakeholders
• Advanced Analytical Skills with the ability to translate data into clear insights and actionable recommendations
• Knowledge of startup or high-growth company environments, including fundraising, investor relations, and cash management
• Familiarity with financial systems, tools, and best practices for building scalable processes in a remote-first organization
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across distributed teams
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA)
