[Remote] Cloud Data AI/Foundations Manager

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Ascension is a nonprofit Catholic health system. The Cloud Data AI/Foundations Manager will lead engineering and operations teams supporting enterprise production systems, cloud data engineering, and DevOps initiatives. The role focuses on high availability, operational excellence, Google Cloud Platform services, automation, and inclusive technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• 8+ years of experience in Cloud Data Engineering, DevOps, Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Data Operations
• 3+ years of technical leadership experience managing engineering or operations teams
• Proven track record supporting enterprise-level production systems with high availability and operational excellence requirements
• Expertise in Google Cloud Platform services (BigQuery, Cloud Composer/Airflow, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Storage)

Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Cloud Data Engineering, DevOps, Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Data Operations
• 3+ years of technical leadership experience managing engineering or operations teams
• Proven track record supporting enterprise-level production systems with high availability and operational excellence requirements
• Expertise in Google Cloud Platform services (BigQuery, Cloud Composer/Airflow, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Storage)
• High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
• Degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required
• Hands-on proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and enterprise platforms including ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, and analytics tools like Power BI or Looker
• Demonstrated passion for leveraging AI-assisted engineering practices and fostering inclusive, high-performing engineering teams
