[Remote] Controller (Healthcare)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Atlantic Group is hiring on behalf of an unnamed client for a Controller (Healthcare). The role leads accounting across a multi-location outpatient healthcare organization, including financial reporting, healthcare revenue, acquisition integration, and financial analysis, while partnering with senior leadership on business performance and operational decisions.

Responsibilities

• Accounting Operations: Oversee general ledger accounting, accounts payable, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close activities
• Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, management reporting, account analysis, and recurring financial schedules for leadership
• Healthcare Accounting: Support healthcare-related accounting activities, revenue reporting, accounts receivable, and coordination with internal finance teams
• Financial Planning: Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, KPI reporting, and financial analysis
• Accounting Processes: Strengthen accounting procedures, financial controls, reporting practices, and operational efficiency across the organization
• Systems & Automation: Improve accounting workflows, data quality, reporting, and financial systems through technology and automation

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including healthcare accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of healthcare accounting, financial reporting, U.S. GAAP, financial close, budgeting, and financial controls
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with accounting, financial reporting, and healthcare-related systems
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to partner across functions
• CPA certification
