[Remote] Controls Analyst II

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ENFRA is hiring a Controls Analyst II to support Energy-as-a-Service projects focused on HVAC optimization, operational performance, and verification of energy savings. The role evaluates and troubleshoots building automation systems, develops and validates HVAC control sequences, and supports commissioning and ongoing optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement energy conservation measures including but not limited to room ventilation schedules per ASHRAE guidelines with project delivery team
• Participate in site surveys, documentation review, and due diligence activities to determine facility conditions and develop applicable energy conservation measures
• Participate in retro-commissioning and commissioning efforts on assigned projects
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and modify building automation system programming to implement energy conservation measures within existing sequences
• Interact directly with the project team to ensure high quality, functional and optimized systems are delivered
• Utilize test instrumentation to troubleshoot, verify, and optimize building system operation
• Maintain awareness of energy performance for assigned scopes through the duration of the project
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure performance targets are met and maintained
• Identify corrective actions when scope or performance gaps are identified
• Ensure issues are properly identified and communicated to project team
• Assist with the resolution of issues by proposing and tracking implementation of solutions to the project team
• Proactively address and escalate as required, constraints to achieving project outcomes and scope completion

Skills

• Understanding of DDC controls
• Familiarity with building automation systems software
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree
• 2+ years of experience in HVAC controls, design, energy management, or relevant fields
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to interact with owners, owner's representatives, contractors, engineers and architects in a professional manner while effectively driving project outcome
• Knowledge of commercial MEP equipment design and operations
• Commissioning Certification from ACG, BCxA, ASHRAE
• Registered Engineering Intern (EI) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure
• Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
• Proficient with Bluebeam Studio and Revu software
• Strong technical background in the development, review, and refinement of HVAC sequences of operation, with direct experience implementing control logic across platforms such as Siemens, JCI, Niagara, Schneider Electric, Alerton, ALC, and Honeywell
