Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Akkodis is seeking an ECC Professional 1 to support U.S. Customs and trade compliance activities. The role focuses on HTSUS product classification, customs research, preparation of classification justifications, audit support, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Classify products, equipment, materials, components, and spare parts under HTSUS
- Research and apply GRIs, CBP CROSS rulings, Explanatory Notes, and customs regulations
- Analyze engineering drawings, product specifications, supplier information, and technical documentation
- Prepare detailed classification justifications for compliance and audit readiness
- Partner with Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Customs Operations, and Regulatory Compliance teams
- Support customs audits, classification reviews, binding rulings, tariff updates, and revalidation activities
- Maintain classification data and support process improvement and governance initiatives
Skills
- Strong knowledge of HTSUS classification principles
- Experience with U.S. Customs regulations and CBP rulings
- Strong analytical and technical-documentation skills
- Trade compliance / customs classification experience
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, logistics, global trade, customs audits, or classification governance
