Role Overview
The Remote Data Entry Specialist is a critical support function for Brighthush’s Finance and People Operations teams. This entry‑level, part‑time position (5–10 hours per week) focuses on accurately capturing, updating, and validating financial and HR data. Your meticulous attention to detail will directly influence payroll accuracy, client billing, and government contract reporting—key components that keep Brighthush’s operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Data Management: Enter and update employee timesheets, expense reports, vendor information, and invoice details using source documents provided by the finance team.
- HR Records Maintenance: Capture new‑hire information, personnel changes, and required forms in Brighthush’s HR and payroll systems.
- Data Validation: Cross‑check entries against source documents, identify missing or inconsistent data, and flag duplicates for review.
- Documentation & Filing: Organize, name, and file supporting documents in designated systems to ensure records are complete and easily retrievable.
- System Transition Support: Assist with data entry, record setup, and validation as Brighthush transitions timekeeping and project accounting into Unanet.
- Confidentiality & Compliance: Handle all financial and employee information with the highest level of discretion, adhering to Brighthush’s data‑handling, access, and security procedures.
- Deadline Management: Meet processing deadlines tied to payroll, timesheet cutoffs, and month‑end close. Communicate proactively if a deadline is at risk.
- Issue Resolution: Report discrepancies and questions to your manager promptly, rather than making unilateral corrections to source data.
