In this role, you will be the guardian of data quality, ensuring that every record is accurate, up‑to‑date, and compliant with our internal standards. You will work independently from your home office, collaborating virtually with cross‑functional teams to streamline data workflows and support critical business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Capture & Validation: Accurately input new data into our proprietary database systems, double‑check entries for errors, and validate against source documents.
  • Data Cleansing & Enrichment: Identify and correct inconsistencies, duplicate records, and missing fields; enrich data sets with additional context when required.
  • System Maintenance: Perform routine updates, backups, and audits of data repositories to maintain integrity and accessibility.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Generate regular spreadsheets and dashboards that summarize key metrics for internal stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Propose and implement automation scripts or templates that reduce manual effort and increase throughput.
  • Compliance & Security: Adhere to data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA where applicable) and company policies regarding confidential information.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Data Governance team to align on data standards and resolve discrepancies.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear, up‑to‑date documentation of data entry procedures and best practices.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct periodic spot‑checks and audits to ensure ongoing accuracy and consistency.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay informed about emerging tools, technologies, and industry trends that can enhance data management processes.

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of data entry or data management experience in a remote or hybrid setting.
  • Accuracy: Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of precision (99.9% accuracy) in large data sets.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and familiarity with Google Workspace.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong analytical mindset with a keen eye for spotting anomalies and inconsistencies.
  • Time Management: Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines while juggling multiple priorities.
  • Communication: Excellent written communication skills and the ability to articulate data issues clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Software Knowledge: Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot) or ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
  • Automation Tools: Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, VBA) or data integration tools (Zapier, Integromat).
  • Industry Exposure: Background in finance, healthcare, or e‑commerce data environments.
  • Certification: Completion of a data quality or data governance certification (e.g., DAMA‑DMBOK).

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to structure large volumes of data efficiently.
  • Proficiency in data validation techniques and quality control processes.
  • Adaptability to new tools and willingness to learn emerging technologies.
  • Self‑discipline and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Problem‑solving mindset, capable of troubleshooting data discrepancies on the fly.
  • Excellent time‑management skills, ensuring consistent delivery of daily targets.
  • Team player who values collaboration and constructive feedback.
  • Commitment to data privacy and ethical handling of sensitive information.
