SoTalent is a technology, information, and internet company seeking a Data Scientist to develop evaluation methodologies, performance metrics, and analytical frameworks for intelligent systems. The role analyzes complex datasets, builds quantitative models and monitoring solutions, and partners with engineering, research, and product teams to support data-informed decisions and system deployment.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement evaluation frameworks, performance metrics, and statistical methodologies to assess system effectiveness, quality, and reliability
- Analyze large-scale datasets from simulations, production environments, and operational systems to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Develop quantitative models and analytical approaches to measure performance, safety, accuracy, and deployment readiness
- Apply advanced statistical techniques and machine learning methods to solve complex business and engineering challenges
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and research teams to define success metrics and support data-driven product development
- Design experiments and conduct hypothesis testing to validate system improvements and product enhancements
- Build automated reporting, dashboards, and monitoring solutions to track key performance indicators
- Communicate analytical findings, recommendations, and insights to technical teams and senior stakeholders
- Support deployment readiness by evaluating system behavior and identifying areas requiring optimization
- Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, predictive modeling, and performance assessment initiatives
- Partner with cross-functional teams to solve ambiguous and challenging data problems using rigorous analytical techniques
Skills
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
- 3+ years of industry experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, or applied research roles
- Strong expertise in statistical analysis, experimental design, hypothesis testing, and quantitative modeling
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, R, or similar analytical programming languages
- Experience working with large and complex datasets in production environments
- Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, predictive modeling, and data interpretation
- Experience translating business or engineering problems into measurable analytical solutions
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex findings to diverse audiences
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and analytical capabilities
- Experience developing evaluation frameworks and performance measurement methodologies
- Knowledge of simulation-based analysis, system validation, and model performance assessment
- Familiarity with deep learning, generative AI, diffusion models, or advanced machine learning techniques
- Experience working with large-scale distributed data environments and cloud-based analytics platforms
- Ability to influence decision-making through data-driven insights and strategic recommendations
- Experience collaborating with engineering and product organizations in a fast-paced environment
