[Remote] Developer Intern, Extension Excellence - Winter 2027

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. 1Password is hiring a Developer Intern for its Browser Extension Excellence team. The role involves building customer-facing features, collaborating across teams, and improving the performance, stability, and correctness of its browser extension.

Responsibilities

• Write efficient, scalable, and robust customer-facing features in one or more of our web or Rust tech stacks
• Collaborate with people across the company like Product, Design, Customer Support, Release Ops, and other Software Development teams
• Focus on building and optimizing features in our extension as well as working with browser-specific APIs and behaviors (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge)
• Focusing on extension performance, stability, and correctness

Skills

• A willingness to take on new challenges, and see them through to completion
• You're not afraid to ask "stupid" questions and make mistakes (as long as you learn from them)
• You look for better ways of doing things, even if everyone seems happy with how they are
• We work together, and succeed as a team!
• Experience or interest in working with browser extensions
• Someone interested in working in multiple tech stacks
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. We're a distributed team so written communication in particular is very crucial
• Someone who thinks about the impact of their work in terms of the end user
