About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic technical team at GrabJobs. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure, ensuring the availability, scalability, and security of our platform. Qualifications
Candidates should possess a minimum of three years of professional experience in DevOps or related roles, with proficiency in the following areas: Technical Skills: Linux/Unix administration, scripting languages such as Python and Bash, infrastructure as code with Terraform, cloud platforms (preferably Azure), containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift, CI/CD tools including GitLab CI and GitHub Actions, version control with Git, and networking fundamentals. Languages: Familiarity with YAML, Java, Typescript, and Node.js is highly desirable. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability to work effectively within cross-functional teams. DevOps Mindset: Strong understanding of agile methodologies, continuous delivery practices, and automation principles. Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related field is required. Technical Requirements: Reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum speeds of 70/30 Mbps for basic use, with higher speeds preferred for optimal performance), Ethernet connectivity, and the ability to work remotely effectively.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of tasks, including: Act as a liaison between development teams, QA, and operations to ensure alignment of goals and streamline workflows for efficient delivery. Provision, configure, and maintain servers, storage solutions, networking components, and cloud resources both on-premises and in the cloud environment. Develop, build, and sustain CI/CD pipelines, deployment scripts, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to automate manual processes and improve deployment efficiency. Integrate security best practices into the development lifecycle, adopting a DevSecOps approach to safeguard our platform and data. Design and implement data management processes for collection, storage, and utilization within our systems, ensuring data integrity and security. Manage application builds, facilitate deployments, and execute rollbacks as necessary to maintain platform stability. Establish and maintain monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, IBM Turbonomics, and Azure Monitoring to ensure optimal system performance and quick issue resolution. Continuously evaluate and improve infrastructure, security, and automation practices to support the company's growth and technological advancements.
