Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Hidden Level is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to accelerate product development within a small, cross-functional engineering team. The role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and validating embedded software for sensor target detection, health monitoring, fault recovery, and interaction with cloud-based and network systems.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Software, Systems, Digital and RF engineers to advance overall product capabilities
- Decompose system requirements and support key software architectural decisions
- Participate in collaborative design and code reviews
- Aid in the validation and verification of both design and system-level capabilities
- Detect and track new types of targets
- Monitor performance and health metrics, and autonomously recover from faults
- Interact with cloud-based systems and other network components
- Document and clearly communicate designs to peers
- Test and validate designs to ensure proper and bug free operation
- Improve CM/CI capabilities and coverage
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or software Engineering, or a bachelor's degree in computer or electrical Engineering with strong programming background
- 3+ years industry experience
- Familiarity with Radar Systems and Signal Processing
- Programming experience with 1. Python 2. C++
- Comfortable working on embedded Linux Operating Systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and overcome technical challenges
- Experience with or the drive to learn. 1. Analysis methods and tools including Python and MATLAB 2. Communications, Radar, and other Sensor Systems
- Only United States citizens and non-United States citizens holding a Green Card can be considered for this position due to this national security designation
