[Remote] Engineering Manager, Product Engineering

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Boulevard provides a client experience platform for appointment-based self-care businesses. The Engineering Manager will lead and develop a team of engineers while balancing technical leadership, people management, roadmap delivery, architectural guidance, and team enablement across product and platform domains.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 5-8 engineers across various experience levels
• Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning
• Partner with Product Management and Design to define and deliver the team roadmap
• Drive technical excellence through code reviews and architectural guidance
• Build a high-performing team culture focused on collaboration and growth
• Manage team delivery, removing blockers, and ensuring successful execution
• Contribute to hiring, interviewing, and onboarding new team members
• Participate in on-call rotation and lead incident response when needed
• Balance hands-on technical contribution with team enablement

Skills

• 5+ years of software development experience with 2+ years of people management
• Proven ability to lead and develop engineering teams
• Strong technical background with the ability to provide architectural guidance
• Experience with agile development and delivery management
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Track record of building inclusive, high-performing teams
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity for your team
• Experience with remote team management and async collaboration
• Previous experience in B2B SaaS or marketing platforms
• Background in payment systems, scheduling, or commerce platforms
• Experience with Elixir, React, or similar technologies
• MBA or advanced degree in a related field
