[Remote] Executive Vice President of Finance

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cohesion is seeking an Executive Vice President of Finance to lead its financial operations and strategy. The role oversees planning, reporting, controls, capital allocation, and finance-team development while partnering with leadership to support strategic decisions and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

• The Executive Vice President of Finance will lead all financial operations and strategy for Cohesion in a full-time, remote capacity
• This role oversees financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to support strategic decisions and sustainable growth
• The EVP of Finance will ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, manage financial reporting for internal leadership and external stakeholders, and maintain robust controls and compliance processes
• Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding capital allocation, monitoring key financial metrics, partnering with executive leadership on strategic initiatives, and developing financial policies and processes that support scale
• The role also includes building and mentoring a high-performing finance function, collaborating cross-functionally with product, operations, and go-to-market teams, and presenting clear financial insights and recommendations to the leadership team and board

Skills

• Strong foundation in Finance, with experience overseeing comprehensive finance functions in a growth-oriented organization
• Expertise in Financial Planning and Analytical Skills to drive budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, and strategic decision support
• Advanced knowledge of Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including compliance, consolidation, and stakeholder communications
• Proven leadership experience in senior finance or executive roles
• Ability to operate effectively in a remote environment, with strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated experience building and scaling finance teams, processes, and systems to support rapid growth
• Comfort with data and financial tools (e.g., ERP, BI platforms, advanced spreadsheets)
• Relevant academic background such as a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
• Preferably within technology or venture-backed companies
• Familiarity with startup metrics and SaaS business models is beneficial
• Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., MBA, CPA) are a plus
