[Remote] Financial Analyst – Budgeting, Variance Analysis & Financial Modeling

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. MaxIT Consulting – Max Corporate Group is recruiting a Financial Analyst to join the finance team of an unnamed technology company. The role supports budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and cost-management decisions through financial analysis, reporting, and recommendations to business and finance leaders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements and reports to identify trends, discrepancies and opportunities for improvement
• Perform variance analysis and explain expense variances to senior leaders
• Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes with cross-functional teams
• Build and maintain financial models that support decision-making and strategic planning
• Prepare and present financial reports and presentations for stakeholders and management
• Run in-depth data analysis to surface key metrics and actionable insights, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
• Identify and recommend process improvements to optimize financial operations

Skills

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
• Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting and variance analysis
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and to prioritize multiple tasks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders across the organization
• Based in the United States, in the Central or Eastern Time Zone
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer
• A Master's degree is preferred
• Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning
• Knowledge of SQL for data retrieval and analysis
• Proficiency in Tableau for data visualization and reporting
• Experience with ERP systems
