Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Randstad is recruiting for an over-the-road trucking company seeking an interim leave specialist. The role independently manages leave requests and disability claims, analyzes overlapping leave laws and policies, and ensures compliant administration.
Responsibilities
- Turnkey Leave Management: Independently administer the full lifecycle of all leave requests (FMLA, state-mandated paid/unpaid leaves, personal leaves, military leaves, and disability claims) from initial intake and eligibility determination through return-to-work or separation
- Complex Multi-Law Intersection Analysis: Analyze and navigate the complex interactions between concurrent leave laws—evaluating how FMLA, ADA, state leave statutes (e.g., CA CFRA/PFL, NY PFL, WA PFML), worker’s compensation, and internal PTO/disability policies overlap to ensure compliant execution and accurate pay integration
Skills
- Deep, working fluency in FMLA, state paid/unpaid leaves, STD/LTD, and ADAAA interactive dialogues
- Proven ability to manage a complex leave portfolio remotely with minimal supervision
- Full availability for an immediate 3-month contract

- Experience level: Experienced
- 5+ years of dedicated, employer-side leave and accommodations experience
- Human Resources (2 years of experience is preferred)
