Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The Smart Lighting Company designs and manufactures architectural LED lighting for interior and exterior applications. The Inside Sales & Quotations Specialist prepares project quotes, manages the quote pipeline, supports customer relationships, and coordinates with operations and engineering.
Responsibilities
- Build quotations: Prepare accurate, timely quotes from drawings, specs, and project requirements, including fixture selection, run lengths, pricing, drivers, controls, and accessories
- Own the quote pipeline: Respond quickly to quote requests and follow up on open quotes until they close
- Grow existing relationships: Stay in regular contact with the architects, designers, contractors, distributors, and reps who already work with us, and find new opportunities within those accounts
- Handle inbound inquiries: Answer product questions, recommend solutions, and give customers clear, confident guidance
- Coordinate internally: Work with operations and engineering on custom configurations, technical questions, and lead times
- Keep the CRM current: Log quotes, follow-ups, and sales activity so the pipeline stays accurate and visible
- Deliver a great customer experience: Be the responsive, knowledgeable contact our customers count on
Skills
- Prior experience in architectural lighting quotations
- Ability to read basic plans, lighting schedules, and specifications
- Inside sales or quoting experience, including following up on opportunities and supporting a sales pipeline
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple quotes and deadlines at once without losing track
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- B2B sales, quotations, or estimating experience
- Experience with Sage 50 Software a plus
- Familiarity with LED fixtures, drivers, dimming protocols, and DMX controls
- Associate or bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field (not required)
