Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. StevenDouglas is partnering with an unnamed client to hire an Interim Revenue Accounting Analyst. The role supports revenue accounting through Salesforce CPQ data processing, contract review, RevStream updates, reconciliations, and ongoing ASC 606 processes.
Responsibilities
- Own the weekly upload of Salesforce CPQ data into RevStream, including cleansing and formatting data ahead of each load
- Prepare and format data using Excel and Python-based tools to meet RevStream upload requirements
- Investigate and resolve records that error out during upload, making manual corrections to ensure complete and accurate loads
- Review custom, non-standard contracts and free-text quote terms (such as free trials and discretionary provisions) to determine revenue recognition implications
- Create revenue lines in RevStream for contract items with revenue impact that are not captured in standard quote lines
- Perform detailed tie-outs and reconciliations, with a focus on contract and revenue recognition dates
- Partner with the revenue accounting team to support ongoing revenue processes under ASC 606
Skills
- Strong data processing skills, including advanced Excel and data manipulation
- Working knowledge of revenue recognition principles under ASC 606
- Exposure to Salesforce (CPQ) and Python is a plus
