[Remote] Lab Assistant (Data Entry Representative I - SP)

The role primarily involves data entry of patient and client information, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations, and meeting productivity and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Determining and verifying client account numbers, patient demographics and order codes into the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
• Accurately perform all functions and in a timely manner
• Requires accurate data entry of all required information on requisitions
• Maintains compliance and HIPAA regulations at all times
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to meet quality and production standards
• Must be detail-oriented with independent work habits
• Demonstrates an ability to learn the job duties assigned to the DET I, and develops an understanding of how all the functions in Specimen Processing fit reputed company
• Demonstrates an understanding of the compliance policies related to Specimen Processing
• Meets standards for production and accuracy within 6 months – 100% productivity rate
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Prior work experience doing primarily data entry; production environment preferred
