[Remote] Legal Assistant I

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Michael Sullivan & Associates LLP is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant with Workers' Compensation experience. The role supports attorneys and the Office Supervisor with daily administrative and clerical work, legal documents, scheduling, and file management.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative and clerical support to one or more attorneys and the Office Supervisor
• Prepares correspondence and simple to moderately complex legal documents
• Schedules medical appointments
• Proofreads documents for spelling and grammar
• Organizes and maintains files
• Screens telephone calls and visitors
• Reads and responds to mail

Skills

• 2+ years of Workers' Compensation experience
• ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate OR Bachelor's Degree
• Strong written and oral communication
• Highly organized
• MS Word proficiency
• Type 50 wpm
• Demonstrable ability to maintain confidentiality
