[Remote] Manager Accounting - Financial Reporting

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cotiviti is hiring a Manager Accounting - Financial Reporting to lead consolidated financial reporting and oversee selected month-end close activities. The role is responsible for accurate quarterly and annual financial statements that comply with GAAP and regulatory requirements, technical accounting, audit coordination, and developing the Financial Reporting team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review external financial reporting deliverables, including quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring full compliance with US GAAP and PCAOB reporting standards
• Oversee the completion of monthly and quarterly trend analyses
• Serve as a technical accounting expert, researching and preparing documentation for complex transactions, including M&A, stock-based compensation, debt, leases, derivatives, non-revenue contracts, impairment analysis, investments, etc
• Implement and monitor new accounting pronouncements that impact the financial statements
• Coordinate with external auditors on planning, audit requests, and ensuring timely completion of the audit
• Maintain chart of accounts and division structure for NetSuite
• Assist with development and maintenance of internal controls over financial reporting, equity, and stock-based compensation
• Partner with the general accounting team to assist with questions around complex journal entries, EBITDA addbacks, reconciliations, and ad-hoc accounting questions
• Contribute to continual process improvement projects, including new tool implementations, refining policies and procedures, and finding AI efficiencies
• Support the development and growth of the other Financial Reporting team members
• Hire, develop, coach, lead and retain top-tier talent, with a focus on building and improving a team and culture that is able to assist in employing best in class practices to support and drive high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction
• Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.

Skills

• 8+ years of relevant work experience, including public accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in accounting (or similar)
• CPA certification
• Excellent knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ability to research accounting guidance, establish a position, and develop processes and procedures for implementation
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with multiple departments across the organization
• Experience mentoring and coaching other team members on technical accounting areas
• Experienced people leader and demonstrated ability to delegate and prioritize competing workstreams
• Ability to produce quality work within tight time frames

• Prior experience with private equity reporting, including adjusted and proforma EBITDA
• Experience with NetSuite accounting systems, foreign currency and intercompany accounting
• Experience with FloQast or similar financial close & reconciliation tools
