[Remote] Mechanical Engineer

Great Value Hiring is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support video annotation projects involving robotic systems, mechanical components, tools, and physical tasks. The role involves labeling mechanical interactions and reviewing annotations for accuracy while applying engineering knowledge to identify unclear or incorrect details.

Responsibilities

• Review videos showing robotic systems, mechanical components, tools, and physical tasks
• Annotate and label objects, movements, actions, components, and mechanical interactions within videos
• Identify important mechanical details such as motion, positioning, component behavior, and task sequences
• Review video annotations for accuracy, consistency, and completeness
• Use your mechanical engineering knowledge to identify incorrect or unclear annotations
• Follow project guidelines and annotation standards carefully
• Provide feedback on difficult or ambiguous video examples
• Work independently and complete assigned annotation tasks within project timelines

Skills

• 2+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Robotics, or a related field
• Good understanding of mechanical components, tools, machines, and physical systems
• Ability to understand how mechanical parts and systems move and interact
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify small differences in video content
• Good written English and ability to follow detailed instructions
• Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, NX, Creo, or CATIA
• Exposure to robotics, automation, manufacturing, or industrial equipment
• Previous experience with video annotation, data labeling, AI training, or computer vision projects
