[Remote] Mid-Level Financial Analyst (Public Trust Clearance)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. St. Michael’s Inc. is hiring a Mid-Level Financial Analyst to support a Department of Homeland Security client’s financial management office. The role supports financial management operations across DHS, including analyzing fee structures, reconciling financial data, improving processes, and coordinating with implementation teams.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate how current fee structure relates to service delivery model that client provides. Recommend any changes to the current fee structure that would better align the fees with the service delivery model client provides. For each recommended change, define the impact to Agency revenue and affected customers
• Review and comment on system requirements and documentation
• Develop internal SOPs and external presentation materials
• Maintain trackers that align Orders with contract values
• Reconcile contract values between multiple financial systems to ensure data accuracy
• Prepare Financial Management System upload templates and track financial data accurately
• Support weekly meetings with implementation teams to identify system and process needs

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in related area (Business, Accounting, Finance, Etc.)
• 3 – 10 years of financial and/or accounting experience
• Experience with Federal Financial Systems, including extracting, manipulating, and analyzing financial data sources and interfaces to seamlessly populate necessary financial model components and data fields
• Currently possess (or have the ability to obtain) an active Public Trust Clearance (or higher)
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Ability to work effectively with a group or independently
• Ability to read/interpret management policy, regulations, and directives
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and SharePoint
• Preferably supporting federal government contracts
• Experience and proficiency with PowerBI development
• Desired experience with SAP financial Systems
