Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Direct Sales Recruiting, LLC is recruiting for an unnamed client, a manufacturer of commercial outdoor recreation products. The Sales Manager will lead independent sales representative agencies, develop channel strategies, and grow revenue and market penetration.
Responsibilities
- Drive revenue through independent sales representative agencies
- Develop sales plans, territory strategies, and revenue goals with channel partners
- Build strong relationships with agency owners and sales teams and drive accountability
- Identify new markets, customers, and commercial project opportunities
- Work with reps to get products specified early in the architectural/design and RFP process
- Train and equip agencies with sales tools, marketing resources, product knowledge, and competitive intelligence
- Conduct regular business reviews and analyze pipeline, forecasts, and sales performance
- Develop strategies to improve underperforming territories and increase market penetration
- Partner with Marketing and Sales to develop programs that generate new business
- Travel throughout the U.S. to meet with rep agencies, customers, architects, developers, and other key partners
Skills
- Bachelor's degree required
- Min. 5–10+ years of Sales management experience within commercial construction, building products, architectural products, or a related industry
- Must have experience targeting public sector, architects and in a related field
- Proven success managing and growing business through independent sales rep agencies
- Strong understanding of commercial construction, specification selling, architects, contractors, developers, and RFP processes
- Ability to influence and motivate channel partners without direct reporting authority
- Strong analytical, communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
- CRM and Microsoft Office proficiency
