[Remote] Network Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is hiring a Network Engineer to analyze customer requirements and resolve technical problems. The role maintains, upgrades, configures, and supports data communication networks and their hardware and software components.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes customer requirements and provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate complexity
• Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks
• Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability
• Coordinates hardware and software acquisition
• Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks
• Supports the design and build of hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks
• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
