RGP engages experienced accounting professionals for client projects that modernize accounting functions through automation, data optimization, and technology integration. The role supports finance transformation initiatives and delivers operational accounting work across close, consolidation, and reporting cycles.
Responsibilities
- Partner with clients to streamline accounting workflows leveraging automation tools, AI solutions, and advanced analytics
- Support or lead system transformation efforts, including ERP integrations, process redesign, and reporting enhancements
- Develop and maintain high-value operational accounting deliverables across close, consolidation, and reporting cycles
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize practices and improve data integrity and insight delivery
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that elevate the finance function’s ability to scale and adapt in a digital environment
Skills
- Strong foundation in operational and technical accounting, with experience across GL close, reconciliations, consolidation, or financial reporting
- Hands-on experience integrating automation, AI, or data tools (e.g., Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, or custom scripting) into accounting workflows
- Advanced Excel proficiency — comfortable with complex formulas, modeling, and automation logic
- Background with large ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, or similar)
- Ability to think strategically while executing with precision in hands-on, fast-paced environments
- Consulting mindset — adaptability, collaborative approach, and interest in varied project-based opportunities across industries
- Experience within technology, SaaS, life sciences, fintech, or manufacturing environments — ideally supporting fast-paced, high-growth, or transformation-focused organizations
