Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is hiring a Pharmacy Technology Analyst I to support pharmacy platforms, applications, connectivity, access, and operational data feeds. The role partners with internal teams and external vendors on enhancements, requirements, testing, and issue resolution to help meet business, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Technology Implementation: Support execution of pharmacy technology strategies to improve efficiency and align with business needs
- Task Execution: Perform foundational tasks such as data entry, tracking deliverables, and organizing technical materials
- Issue Escalation: Identify and escalate basic technical issues, learning to assess their potential business impact
- Initiative Coordination: Support pharmacy technology projects by documenting requirements and tasks
- Documentation Accuracy: Maintain version control and accuracy of technical documentation and system updates
- Training Participation: Engage in onboarding and technical training sessions to build familiarity with pharmacy systems and workflows
- Compliance Alignment: Understand how technical processes align with regulatory and policy standards
Skills
- Knowledge of pharmacy benefits combined with strong technical aptitude
- Experience with requirements gathering, data mapping, and testing
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities, learn new technologies, and communicate effectively with business, technical, and vendor partners
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. Equivalent work experience is defined as 4 years of professional work experience
- Minimum 3 years Healthcare Industry experience required
- Minimum 2 years experience with operational analysis, design and understanding of integrated, interdependent, and interfaced systems and their impacts on each other
- Ability to assist with technology implementation and task execution
- Skill in maintaining accurate documentation and version control
- Strength in identifying and escalating technical issues
- Capability to support project coordination and team collaboration
- Commitment to building technical knowledge and compliance awareness
