Remote Position
[Remote] Principal Business Technology Product Manager
🌍 Remote · United States
💼 Full-time
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Samsara is hiring a Principal Business Technology Product Manager for its Go-To-Market Systems team. The role owns and builds seller-facing workflows across Salesforce and CPQ, partnering with Sales, Deal Desk, Finance, and Engineering to improve the sales process through measurable, iterative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap for seller-facing quoting, approvals, and opportunity workflows across Salesforce and CPQ — turning ambiguous go-to-market problems into shipped solutions with clear, measurable outcomes
- Discover and prioritize ruthlessly: partner deeply with Sales, Deal Desk, and Finance to find the highest-leverage problems, define what success looks like, and decide what not to build
- Build, don’t just spec: create clickable prototypes, stand up your own dashboards and data models, and ship internal tools and AI-assisted workflows — with engineering partnering to harden them for scale
- Own what you ship as a living product: instrument adoption, track usage and business impact, and iterate — treating internal tools and agents with the same rigor as a customer-facing product
- Use modern AI tools as a core part of how you work — from first-draft requirements and analysis to prototyping and building — raising your own leverage and the team’s
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
Skills
- 8+ years of product management experience (or equivalent experience building and owning enterprise software or internal tools), with ownership of a product domain and a track record of shipping
- Experience with go-to-market or revenue systems — Salesforce (CRM), CPQ/quoting, or adjacent sales / revenue-operations tooling
- Demonstrated ability to translate business problems into clear requirements and measurable product outcomes
- Hands-on comfort building with modern AI tools — you're excited to prototype and build yourself, not only to delegate
- Strong stakeholder management across Sales, Finance, and Engineering
- The ability to build real artifacts directly — clickable prototypes, SQL-backed dashboards, or working POCs — without waiting in a dev queue
- Experience building or operating AI agents/assistants in production (adoption, evals, iteration, rollback)
- Deep Salesforce / CPQ domain expertise (quote-to-cash, approvals, opportunity management)
- Familiarity with automation platforms (e.g., Workato) and hands-on data skills (SQL)
- A track record of driving real adoption of internal tools, not just launching them
Benefits
- Initial RSU grant with no vesting cliff, and ongoing refresh opportunities tied to performance, subject to plan terms and conditions.
- Performance-based bonus/variable pay.
- Flexible, employee-led remote model.
- Professional development stipend.
- Comprehensive health plans.
- Parental leave plans.
