Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. LVI Associates is recruiting for an unnamed environmental and engineering consulting firm. The Principal Environmental Consultant will advise energy and industrial clients on environmental compliance, permitting, sustainability, and risk management while leading projects, client relationships, multidisciplinary teams, and business growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead environmental consulting projects for industrial, manufacturing, energy, and infrastructure clients
- Provide strategic guidance on environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, and environmental management programs
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, regulators, and industry stakeholders
- Support business growth through proposal development, client development activities, and identification of new consulting opportunities
- Advise clients on federal, state, and local environmental regulations and regulatory changes
- Manage multidisciplinary project teams and ensure successful project execution, quality, schedule, and budget performance
- Support environmental programs involving air quality, emissions management, water compliance, waste management, environmental monitoring, and sustainability initiatives
- Deliver executive-level presentations and communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Mentor junior and mid-level professionals and contribute to a collaborative consulting culture
- Participate in industry conferences, professional organizations, and thought leadership initiatives
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field
- Extensive experience in environmental compliance, permitting, and environmental management
- Strong understanding of federal and state environmental regulations
- Demonstrated success managing client relationships and leading complex environmental projects
- Experience working with industrial, energy, manufacturing, chemical, or infrastructure clients
- Proven business development and proposal management experience
- Strong technical writing, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to develop practical compliance solutions while balancing client business objectives
- Air quality permitting and compliance
- Environmental reporting and regulatory strategy
- Environmental auditing and risk assessments
- Sustainability and emissions reduction initiatives
- Multi-site industrial operations support
- Leadership of large, cross-functional project teams
