[Remote] Professional Service Staff Consultant

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Palo Alto Networks Public Sector, LLC is hiring a Professional Service Staff Consultant to help customers securely integrate and automate cloud environments using the Cortex XSOAR platform. The consultant will lead implementations, develop automation workflows, integrate security tools, advise customer stakeholders, and support adoption and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical implementations of security automation within customer environments
• Design, develop, and maintain XSOAR playbooks to automate incident response workflows and streamline security operations
• Integrate diverse security tools (EDR, SIEM, threat intelligence platforms) with XSOAR
• Conduct detailed analysis of operational business processes to identify automation opportunities
• Serve as a trusted advisor, providing strategic guidance on complex cloud security systems and best practices
• Prepare comprehensive capacity planning, deployment, and configuration guides
• Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, from technical engineers to C-level executives (CIO/CISO), translating complex technical information into business terms
• Train and empower customer teams to leverage security products effectively

Skills

• U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance is required at the time of hire
• This position requires an active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI
• Experience with XSOAR/automation, developing playbooks and use cases, platform deployment, EDR integration, SIEM/SOC
• Familiarity with IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint solutions
• Working knowledge of Python for playbook customization
• Linux/Unix command-line proficiency and basic network troubleshooting
• Experience managing complex automated security solutions in large environments
• Deep understanding of security threats, internet protocols and cybersecurity tools and applications
• Project leadership experience; ability to drive organizations and resources to complete required tasks in service of end goals
• Detailed experience in the installation, configuration, operation and documentation of security solutions to prevent cybersecurity threats
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confirmed ability to communicate to senior leaders and technical peers
• Experience with RMF, STIGs, SCAP, or NIST frameworks
• Ability to document and explain complex security processes clearly
• Preferably in the DOD domain
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP, GCIA are a plus
