[Remote] Programmer Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Pyramid Consulting is recruiting for a Programmer Analyst contract role for a confidential client in the utilities industry. The role focuses on developing Java applications and microservices, building automated tests, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve the software platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust applications using Java 17, ensuring a strong foundation in OOP, generics, and concurrent programming
• Build automated test suites (unit, integration) using JUnit 5 and Mockito, integrating these tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Design, implement, and deploy microservices that expose well-documented REST APIs, leveraging Spring Boot
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the software platform based on customer requirements
• Engage in problem-solving and innovative approaches to improve existing functionalities

Skills

• Experience with Cucumber/BDD implementation and API automation
• Background in a regulated industry, particularly with large-scale projects
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Java development
• Proven experience in test automation and building automated test suites
• Experience with microservices and REST APIs
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Self-motivated and results-oriented mindset
• Analytical and system-level problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (preferred)
