Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. OnePay is hiring a Quality Platform Engineer to build internal tooling that helps engineering teams ship reliable software for its financial platform. The role owns shared automation frameworks and test infrastructure, partners with teams to improve testing practices, and establishes quality standards and observability.
Responsibilities
- Design and own shared automation frameworks used by engineering teams across web, mobile, and backend services
- Build and maintain infrastructure that runs automated suites reliably at scale, including flaky-test detection and triage tooling
- Partner with engineering teams to raise coverage and testing maturity, embedding quality practices into the development workflow rather than bolting them on afterward
- Develop platform for test environment provisioning, data management, and parallelized execution to keep feedback loops fast
- Define quality standards, provide observability (coverage, pass rates, run times), and maintain documentation and best practices to help engineers write and maintain effective automated tests
Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience in frontend/backend/platform engineering with a strong testing focus
- Proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js or similar languages, with experience architecting test frameworks rather than just writing test cases
- Experience with cloud-native infrastructure (Kubernetes, AWS) and containerized test environments
- Familiarity with testing across the stack: API/integration testing, end-to-end testing for web and mobile (e.g., React Native)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to influence testing practices across multiple engineering teams
